A Centre Of Excellence which brings together the past and the present in creating and conserving museum collections and disseminating knowledge in a dynamic way in order to stimulate a better understanding of humankind and its impact on the environment.
Research and Communication efforts focus on Marine Science, Herpetology, Marine Archaeology and local history and provide cutting edge information on the natural and cultural diversity of the Algoa Bay region and beyond.
